„The focus track „Electric Lady Powers“ is a fun tongue in cheek song about feeling a random romantic spark with a total stranger from across the room and attempting to connect with them in an awkward moment of zealous. Relatable?
Set in the scene of a quaint cafe, the protagonist is obviously hoping that the person they’re drawn to feels the same way, however is plagued throughout the 2.5 minute ordeal by emotions we all experience; self doubt, nervousness, eagerness etc. Despite the obstacles faced, in the second verse our protagonist builds the courage to ask the waiter for a pen so they can write down their number on a napkin. In the third and final verse, a terribly awkward plan is hatched to stumble upon leaving the cafe in order to give their number to this total stranger. The ultimate icebreaker? Did it work? The listener can decide based on imagination and intuition.“ – Adam Harpaz
Mit Adam Harpaz haben Greywood Records einen guten Griff gemacht. Der Indie Singer/Songwriter aus New South Wales hat alles, was es braucht, um anzukommen: einen verträumten Blick, gutes Aussehen, romantische Lyrics und eine sanfte Stimme. Ein sympathischer Aussie Bloke, der in Australien und in Europa eifrig auf Tour geht. Er spielt auf großen Festivals und intimen Venues, sogar Österreich war letzten August auf der Liste mit Kaisers Smoked BBQ am Kaiser-Josef-Platz in Graz. Leider wußte ich nichts von dieser Show.
Mit seinem selbst produzierten Mellow Folk kommt der Storyteller aber bestimmt wieder einmal zu uns und dann werde ich hingehen und mich über ein paar Geschichten aus Down Under freuen.
